Adriana Restaurant open for biz...

Stopped by a busy Adriana Restaurant Saturday night on Harding Ave. in Surfside. The restaurant officially opens next week but the tables were packed. We enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar and took a look at the menu - sophisticated Peruvian fusion. Sounds intriguing. It's a nice addition to Food Gang (9472 Harding Ave) and Pescecane (9551 Harding). We'll definitely be back to check it out.

Don't bother to go back to check it out. Four of us ate there last night, and, although busy (must be full of first-timers), it was very disappointing. Service was slow, food was awful. Fish dish was mushy, shrimps (small) were served over cold mashed potatoes covered with russian dressing, pasta dish (also with shrimp) had creamy wet dressing, although not so indicated on menu, beef dish served with Uncle Ben's rice and plain old french fries, etc. With so many great surrounding restaurants, we won't be going back here. Stay away!

That's too bad. It got a glowing review in the Miami Herald.

Yeah, too bad. We have been there 4 times and the food has been great. Try the yuquitas, cebiche and the Lomo Saltado risotto next time. And if you do not care for Peruvian food, just order the pasta, the gnochis are delicious. Also try the desserts, the apple tart, the chocolate mousse and the lucuma (Peruvian fruit) are my favorites.

i´ve been there almost 5 times and every time i was surprised by the quality of their dishes and hospitality.

the risotto saltado was delicious, the fiorentina fish was excellent, not to mentioned the cebiche and the salads, the causas, etc.

it is well recomended!!!
you won`t find uncle ben´s rice and old fench fries, you may be someone of those "great sorrounding restaurants" threatened by the new neighbor.
