Food Hall at Canton Export Commodities Fair
The Food Hall was undoubtely the most fun of all the gargantuan halls of commodities on offer at the fair. The fun was derived from all the sampling to be had of the sometimes weird but more often ordinary food on display. Plus some of the booths went all out on their décor and displays so it was a feast for the eyes as well.
A list of some of the more odd offerings:
wine derived from black ants (“very healthing for the body”)
wasabi potato chips (a big hit)
dehydrated carrot chips
flavored dried squid
